We

We feel duty-bound to dedicate a place, in the heart of Seville, to the Jewish-Spanish tradition, to the Sephardic memory.

We present here an Exhibition which tell us about the Jews who inhabitated this neighbourhood and the changes in the quarter from the Middle Ages until now; about the Hebrew hearts that beated here and that with so much pain left their native lands; about the Sephardic women, from here and from the Diaspora; about how they kept their culture (our culture) through habits and customs, songs, proverbs, tales and fables…

It also tells us about those who were forced to convert and those who had to hide because they didn’t convert, about other illustrious Sevillians such as Blanco White or Pablo de Olavide, who committed the crime of thinking…

Welcome to this exhibition that sees our Barrio de Santa Cruz and its surroundings with different eyes, which are not only open to light and volumes, but also to shadows and thuths, to reality and legends.
